H Standard F3 for the French Air Force
and Navy since mid-2008 – 59 aircraft in
the fnal stage of delivery – also called
Tranche 3. All can use the Thales AREOS
(or Reco-NG recce pod) and are nuclear
capable with the ASMP-A cruise missile.
The F3 can fre as well the AM39 Exocet
antiship missile. 60 more aircraft of
this variant are to be delivered under
Tranche 4, this time ftted with series
production Thales RBE2/AA advanced
active electronically scanned array radar
(AESA) in place of the prevailing passive

os novos requisitos de Guerra Centrada
em Redes (GCR / NCW) em condições
de forte interferência.

 Embora um Rafale possa carregar um total
de oito mísseis ar-ar MBDA Mica, um arranjo
de seis mísseis é geralmente utilizado para
patrulhas aéreas de combate (CAP). Aqui, um
Rafale B do EC 1/91 “Gascogne” ,Saint Dizier,
é retratado em voo seguindo para o teatro da
Líbia em março de 2011, armado com quatro
Mica EM sob a fuselagem e dois Mica IR nas
pontas das asas. Três tanques supersônicos de
1.250 litros (fabricados pela Suíça RUAG) forne-
cem à aeronave combustível extra para maior
permanência sobre a zona de combate.
Although a single Rafale can take a total of 8
MBDA Mica air-to-air missiles, a complement
of only 6 is generally carried for combat air
patrols (CAP). Here a Rafale B of EC 1/91 “Gas-
cogne” is pictured in flight headed to the Libyan
theatre in March 2011, armed with four Mica
EMs under the fuselage and two Mica IRs on the
wing tips to provide escort to Mirage 2000Ds
fighter-bombers. Three supersonic 1,250 litre
drop tanks (manufactured by RUAG in Switzer-
land) provide the aircraft with extended loiter
